Well here is my latest work of art! I was using water colors love the colors. Next week I will be experimenting with pastel colors. This will be a three week class I am taking to work on my painting.
I love the colours in the sea painting - the blues make the ocean and sky seem so calm and serene, while the bold red illustrates the action and movement of the boat. Experimenting with paint sounds like lots of fun! Thanks for sharing, Kristina :)
What a great idea. I have always wanted to take a painting class. I love working with pastels. I got a set for my youngest daughter this past Christmas. They are so much fun to work in.
I like the reflective work you did with the water colors. Nice and great job. I am following you now and would love for you to follow along. Jillian http://puzzlemecomplete.blogspot.com/2013/01/to-say-or-not-to-say.html
I have been told that watercolor is the most difficult of all the painting mediums because of it's unpredictable. I never have had much luck with it, but sometimes when I would make a mistake, I learned I could just soak the paper in the tub and all the color would go out of it, and I could start over! Or, sometimes I would end up just blowing off my original idea and keep playing with it until something else cool happened by accident. I liked those the best, "Happy Accidents!" LOL!
Love your work - how exciting to see that you are taking a new class in the new year!

Ooh the boat painting I'd like to have in my son's room! I've been dreaming of having nautical colors in and it would be just perfect!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I've always wanted to do that, but I know it is a lot harder than it looks.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love the play with colors. :)

LOVE it! My son is a painter. I just commissioned his first work, a piece for our family room. :)
